We started as a collaborated R&D Center of Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Since the early of 2004, Workiout became a spin-off company from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology after receiving the research grants from Hong Kong Science & Technology Park for its remarkable performance in commercialization of imaging technology and digital contents encoding, encryption technologies for broadband and mobile operators. With the aid of a new group of innovative and price awarded technology experts in imaging digital product design, colour management, optical physics and digital photographic technology, Workiout received further R&D innovation funds from the Hong Kong Government Innovation and Technology Commission for Workiout¡¦s distinctive creative product concepts, fast image quality control algorithms and the ability to convert product concepts from scratch to product commercialization. For a very short period of time, Workiout has turned from a specialized R&D Center into a company with extensive patent pending innovations, and rapid expansion to mainland China. Together with major China IC/CPU manufacturer, WorkiOut is providing full solutions to current challenges and know-how to grasp future opportunities in the area of digital photography, fast image quality control, wireless and wired connectivity, media contents protection and full turn key solutions for the digital photography industries. The company's management executives are all from the senior level of listed technology companies in Hong Kong with at least 15years of engineering design, implementation, product innovation, marketing and management experience with proven track records. Currently, the company is concentrating on two area of business. - Design and development of innovative solutions for digital photography industries both in hardware and software with new set of control and quality enhancement algorithms. - Provide turn-key web and design solutions for content providers and e-commerce operator including multi-platform, multi-operator IM solution and image/video control over IP networks. |
